About Me

My seventh-grade science teacher was the first person in my life to think I could be a writer—out of frustration. I was a good student, but he was tired of watching me read novels in his class instead of paying attention. So he challenged me to write a story of my own—and I did! In fact, I still have it.

I was born in Missouri, where most of my family still lives. I went to college in Utah, and since then have lived in Virginia, New Jersey, Texas, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Currently, I live in Topeka, Kansas—a move I made after almost two decades in New England.
